Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to work on-site two days per week at our office in Mississauga. The remaining days may be worked remotely, subject to team and business needs.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist who combines a strong creative mindset with a broad range of marketing expertise. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist will execute the strategic marketing plan for the Guardian, I.D.A. and Remedy’sRx pharmacy banner brands.  As the steward of the brands, they will enforce the brand guidelines and support the execution of campaigns to further strengthen the brand's positioning in the retail pharmacy landscape across Canada, excluding Quebec. They maintain the annual content calendar and collaborate with cross-functional teams and agency partners to bring marketing initiatives to life. The ideal candidate for this position possesses strong project management skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Stewardship: Maintain the brand guidelines and ensure all internal and external touchpoints adhere to brand standards.

  • Strategy & Planning: Assist in developing the strategic marketing plan and roll out initiatives that align with objectives.

  • Content: Maintain the annual content calendar and contribute to content ideation. Coordinate the creation of content by collaborating with the graphic design studio or external partners.

  • Project Management: Create and maintain workback schedules and task lists for all marketing initiatives. Collaborate with other teams and agency partners to ensure cross-functional input and alignment.

  • Omnichannel Campaigns: Plan and implement omnichannel campaigns that stretch across traditional and digital channels to engage key audiences.

  • Digital Marketing: Coordinate digital marketing activities, including e-mail marketing, social media, SEM, digital media, and online presence.

  • In-Store Materials: Coordinate the development, printing, shipping, and invoicing of in-store POP materials.

  • AI Integration: Champion the use of approved AI tools to improve workflows, from automating routine tasks to content creation and data analysis.

  • Communication: Communicate marketing initiatives to the sales team and pharmacy owners via all available internal channels. Support the creation and presentation of the quarterly business reviews to key stakeholders.

  • Market Research: Apply research learnings and insights to understand the competitive landscape, identify trends and opportunities, and inform marketing decisions.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs, analyze and interpret results for actionable insights, and make optimizations based on learnings.

  • Budget Tracking: Assist in maintaining the annual budget and execute/track billings.

  • Ad hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a marketing or communications related field.

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in pharmacy, retail, or healthcare.

  • Strong marketing acumen and ability to leverage data to drive decision making.

  • Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Familiarity with platforms such as Meta for Business, Google Analytics, Power BI, Asana, SAP.

  • Familiarity with AI marketing tools is an asset.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to write clear, persuasive, and on-brand messaging.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and budgets.

  • Resourcefulness, initiative, and a creative, results-oriented mindset.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $74,100 - $123,500
