Marketing & Rack Operations Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing & Rack Operations Analyst is responsible for assisting in product allocations, pricing, and contract reconciliation while supporting operational efficiency and strategic growth within the energy supply chain. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

This role supports the Marketing and Rack Operations Managers by assisting with allocations, pricing, and contract reconciliation, all while supporting operational efficiency and strategic growth within the energy supply chain. The analyst will gain exposure to how we execute sales objectives and strategies, in addition to participating in forecasting and identifying market trends. While working closely with the Commercial team at U.S. Energy, this entry-level position provides hands-on experience in energy markets and trading operations through cross-functional collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and create monthly, weekly, and daily allocations for both contract and non-contract accounts.
  • Assist with loading and setup issues internally and externally, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
  • Assist in daily pricing process across all systems used, ensuring accuracy and consistency for customers, including how price is applied to contracts/accounts
  • Assist in reconciling all types of contracts within the specified region to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Learn the products available at different supply points to help optimize allocation and aid in pricing decisions.
  • Analyze data related to allocations, pricing, and contracts to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on allocation, pricing, and contract performance.
  • Work closely with our Supply & Logistics team to develop and assist in executing short and long-term sales objectives and strategies.
  • Participate in daily forecast of sales volumes and provide regional market and pricing discovery.
  • Assist the Marketing team in developing a customer base in region by helping to meet volume and profit targets. 
  • Learn how to effectively negotiate both spot and structured term sales contracts in region.
  • Help identify new product and new market opportunities within the region.
  • Coordinate closely with internal support teams including Credit, Support Services, and Trading/Supply teams to optimize customer setup and overall customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with various team members within U.S. Energy
