About our Team

As part of our Corporate Marketing group, the Customer Engagement (CE) team are the voice of the buyer and the user, delivering customer loyalty, retention, and upsell value against a ~$300M revenue base. Our Customer Engagement team are based in the Netherlands, Singapore and London and combine, customer engagement design, digital execution and performance analysis to ensure buyers and users get the most from our portfolios and their relationship with Elsevier at all stages of their life-cycle. 

 

About the Role

As a Customer Engagement Manager, you'll drive commercial retention, account growth and  advocacy within the customer base, supporting success for the customer. This role requires a data and design driven approach and leverages a range of marketing approaches including value-based engagement, usage insights, user communities, thought-leadership content, strategic partnerships, life-cycle marketing and testimonials from users and buyers.  

As a CE team member within the Corporate marketing group, this role is a critical maker and creator in designing successful, customer-centric and high-quality programs to enable customer and corporate markets success.              

Responsibilities

  • Optimizing and exploring new opportunities to engage our corporate audience in a constantly evolving digital marketing landscape, to support recurring renewals and maximize customer retention via account growth opportunities;
  • Defining and designing successful engagement and community building strategies to drive awareness and adoption and build advocacy and trusted partnerships by demonstrating that our portfolio positively impacts their research outcomes;
  • Executing innovative marketing campaigns and partner with product and marketing effectiveness teams to analyze date that will improve our impact on awareness, usage, brand loyalty and perception at scale across our corporate portfolios.

  

Requirements

  • Experience in customer-centric program development, community development and multi-channel digital experiences;
  • Proven experience in managing programs with multiple stake-holders and delivering results in a global matrixed organization;
  • Proven analytical skills and experience in using evidence based data for marketing activity decision making and performance reporting;
  • Excellent communicator with superior verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Strong customer focus. Experience in subscription businesses and Life Sciences or engineering fields.
