Position Summary:

The Macdonald Campus Multi-Scale Imaging Facility (MuSIF) is a research core facility located on the Macdonald Campus of McGill University in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. MuSIF is a part of the Eastern Canadian Plant Phenotyping Platform (ECP3).

The facility provides access to McGill users and external clients to a suite of instruments related to light and electron microscopy. The facility comprises microscopes and sample preparation equipment. MuSIF is looking to hire a Marketing Officer to enhance its outreach capacity to current and potential clients. Specific focus is on strengthening B2B liaison to industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

Website Management & Social Media

Update and maintain the MuSIF website.

Set up and manage social media accounts.

Client Liaison and Recruitment

Identify and recruit new academic and industrial partners.

Present MuSIF’s service offerings and demonstrate how they align with partner needs.

Connect partners with the appropriate resource persons within MuSIF.

Communications and Outreach

Manage all communications on behalf of MuSIF.

Contribute to the development of outreach strategies and prepare promotional materials.

Assist in the organization of workshops, seminars, and related events.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Fluent in French and English

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with scientists in academia and industry (strong asset).

Experience in marketing in sectors related to the food and beverage industry, health technology and / or pharma (strong asset)

Experience in setting up and using marketing analytics and performance tools (asset)
