What is the opportunity?

As a Marketing Manager on the Employer Brand team, you are responsible for the successful management of high impact, high-visibility campaigns critical in shaping and amplifying our reputation as an employer of choice, globally. 

You’ll work as a trusted Employer Brand advisor to multiple RBC business lines as you work to help them achieve their talent objectives. You’ll be the go-to expert on the fast-changing talent market and marketing trends, turning insights into actionable strategies that keep RBC ahead of the competition. Your recommendations won’t just be strategic - they’ll shape how we connect with top talent and drive real impact for our businesses. From trying out new channels and formats to bringing fresh ideas to the table, you’ll play a key role in making RBC’s brand stand out to top talent. 

You’ll team up with our in-house experts - think social media, business marketing, creative, and analytics, to create campaigns that really resonate and help tackle tough talent challenges. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employer Brand, you’ll partner with HR, business leaders, and marketing teams to help identify new ways to go to market to tell our story in a way that stands out and resonates with prospective talent. You will leverage your expertise in digital strategies to add measurable impact to our employer brand and recruitment marketing initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Design and implement full-funnel marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion, from passive candidate interest to application.

  • Drive successful end-to-end implementation of marketing campaigns and activities ensuring timelines, deliverables, and KPIs are met with excellence and efficiency.

  • Be a trusted advisor to internal partners, using data and insights to drive decision-making and continuously optimize strategy.

  • Champion our brand visual and verbal guidelines to ensure campaign creatives are on-brand throughout the candidate journey and across all touchpoints such as landing pages, newsletters, and more.

  • Manage email marketing strategy and projects including evaluating current campaigns and programs and recommending improvements.

  • Work with business partners to manage updates to landing pages on the careers site via our CMS to keep the information up to date and appealing to candidates.

  • Analyze campaign results to track performance, identify wins and learnings, trends and opportunities, and provide recommendations and actionable insights to continuously optimize campaign ROI.

  • Visualize and present campaign results and ROI in performance updates and wrap-up reports to senior leaders

  • Provide leadership and foster collaboration with integrated support teams, stakeholders, and agency partners to deliver creative that is on brand, on time, and on budget to drive results

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in marketing or brand strategy, with a focus on paid, digital, content and social media

  • Employer Brand & Recruitment Marketing experience is an asset

  • Proven ability to build and execute brand strategies that achieve measurable business results

  • Excellent knowledge of traditional and digital advertising mediums

  • Analytical mindset with experience drawing insights from qualitative and quantitative data; delivering insights and reporting to stakeholders to inform strategy

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with confidence presenting to audiences of different seniority

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders

  • Proficiency with recruiting platforms, job boards, social media, search engine, web, analytics, marketing automation and other tools that support building awareness and demand generation with candidates

  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across a complex matrixed organization

  • Experience managing external agency and partner relationship

Nice to have:

  • Agency experience is a strong asset

  • Phenom CMS, CRM, Analytics and Google Analytics experience

  • Intermediate to expert SEM/SEO skills and experience
