The Marketing Leader, Contrast Media is responsible for leading the strategic direction, commercialization, and performance of GE HealthCare’s contrast media business across multiple core brands, while preparing the organization for future growth through pipeline innovation. This role oversees a portfolio of established contrast agents for X-Ray, CT, and MRI, and plays a critical leadership role in preparing for the potential launch of a contrast agent in Phase 2/3. This senior leader will drive integrated marketing strategies across customer segments—including health systems, physicians, clinicians, payers, and patients—while aligning cross-functional teams to deliver sustained growth, market leadership, and launch excellence.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio strategy & business leadership

  • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy and performance for the Contrast Media portfolio across key brands in X-Ray, CT, and MRI. 
  • Lead annual strategic planning, operating plans, and long-range forecasting to achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Identify growth opportunities across segments, sites of care, and customer archetypes to expand portfolio utilization.
  • Balance investment and prioritization across in-line brands and pipeline readiness.

Pipeline & launch readiness

  • Lead commercial readiness planning for a pipeline contrast agent currently in Phase 2/3 clinical development.
  • Partner with Product Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Market Access to shape early value proposition, positioning, and evidence needs.
  • Develop launch scenarios, segmentation strategies, and early go-to-market frameworks.
  • Develop and activate a new market creation plan.
  • Ensure organizational readiness across sales, training, supply, and marketing in advance of commercialization milestones.

Customer strategy & market development

  • Define and execute integrated customer strategies across organized customers, HCPs, payers, and patients, including both personal and non-personal promotion.
  • Assess and activate key strategic levers across stakeholders (providers, IDNs, GPOs, payers, advocacy groups).

Brand positioning & demand generation

  • Lead development of value propositions, positioning, and messaging frameworks across brands.
  • Drive demand generation strategies, promotional campaigns, and channel optimization.
  • Identify differentiation opportunities to sustain competitive advantage and strengthen brand equity.

Cross-Functional leadership & execution

  • Align and lead cross-functional teams including Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Training, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Legal.
  • Coordinate portfolio-wide initiatives across internal stakeholders, agencies, and partners to ensure consistent execution.
  • Partner with Sales and Training to develop and deliver impactful commercial education and enablement.

Market intelligence & performance optimization

  • Monitor competitive activity, clinical trends, and evolving customer needs to inform strategy.
  • Partner with analytics teams to track performance, identify opportunities, and optimize marketing investments.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to evaluate campaign effectiveness and portfolio performance.

Operations, forecasting & supply alignment

  • Collaborate with Finance and portfolio teams to develop operating plans and latest estimate (LE) forecasts.
  • Act as a marketing liaison to supply chain and trade teams on Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), including demand forecasting, supply continuity, and issue mitigation.

Budget & agency management

  • Manage marketing budget to ensure efficient allocation and strong return on marketing spend (ROMS) and return on investment (ROI).
  • Work with agency partners to ensure strategic alignment, execution excellence, and optimization of campaigns.

Executive communication & leadership

  • Deliver clear, data-driven updates to senior leadership on business performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on portfolio priorities, investments, and growth initiatives.
  • Represent the Contrast Media portfolio in internal and external leadership and customer forums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare marketing or commercial leadership.
  • Experience managing direct reports and/or leading teams in a matrixed environment preferred.
  • Experience managing large or multi-brand portfolios and driving commercial performance.
  • Experience in hospital-based products and B2B marketing strongly preferred.
  • Prior launch experience or involvement in pipeline commercialization planning, with a understanding of how to prepare markets, organizations, and value propositions for successful product launches.
  • Ability to manage complexity across multiple brands or products while driving cohesive strategy and performance.
  • Proven ability to align diverse stakeholders and lead without direct authority.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive decisions.
  • Communicates with honesty, clarity, and transparency; brings a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and strong work ethic to build trust and effectiveness across teams and with customers.
  • Travel: Approximately 10-20% travel for periodic team, business, or customer engagements.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $145,600.00-$218,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
