Role Overview
Lead the marketing team in Taiwan and you will lead and develop a team of 5 product managers, drive marketing capability and operational excellence, oversee local marketing affairs, ensure effective cross-functional communication, and align country strategy with Business Unit Direction (BUD) and Medical Affairs (MD). This role is central to delivering market growth and ensuring strategic execution.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
Key responsibilities
Team leadership and development: Hire, coach, mentor and appraise 5–7 product managers; build a high-performing, commercially focused marketing team
Strategic planning: Develop and execute the local marketing strategy that aligns with BUD and MD priorities and the broader regional/global strategic framework
Commercial delivery: Own P&L contribution targets for the franchise and translate strategy into actionable plans that drive brand growth
Marketing operations: Oversee campaign planning, budgeting, resource allocation, launch readiness, and performance tracking to ensure efficient and compliant execution
Cross-functional collaboration: Act as the primary marketing liaison across Medical, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and other functions to ensure cohesive market execution
Capability building: Strengthen local marketing capabilities, processes and governance to improve speed-to-market, decision-making and analytic rigor
Stakeholder management: Present plans and results to senior leadership; manage expectations and escalate risks or opportunities as needed
Compliance and governance: Ensure all marketing activities adhere to local regulations and company policies
Market insights and performance measurement: Use market, competitive and customer insights to inform strategy; define KPIs and monitor campaign and product performance
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or related field
Experience: 8+ years in pharmaceutical marketing, with demonstrable experience in oncology preferred; prior experience leading teams of product managers, strong experience in different product life cycle, and managing high-value brands
Commercial acumen: Proven track record of developing and executing strategies that deliver measurable commercial results
Cross-functional influence: Strong experience working with Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory and Legal teams
Leadership and people management: Experience building and developing high-performing teams; strong coaching and performance management skills
Analytical skills: Comfort with data-driven decision making, KPI setting and performance analytics
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin (local dialect preferred)
Regulatory/compliance awareness: Knowledge of local pharmaceutical regulations and industry codes of practice
