As a JLL Intern, you will tackle meaningful projects that impact our Commercial Real Estate business by collaborating with industry professionals and providing fresh perspectives to innovative teams. Our structured program balances professional development with exciting real-world experience.

The Marketing Intern, Property Management position will support the Regional Marketing Director with day-to-day activities implementing the Marketing Program and Marketing functions for Outlet Collection Winnipeg shopping centre. This position will also learn the dynamics of executing a targeted, cost-efficient annual Marketing plan for the centre, which utilizes Marketing Funds to increase centre traffic, increase tenants’ sales and increase market share within a specified trade area. 

AS A MARKETING INTERN, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SUMMER INTERN AT JLL, YOU WILL:

  • Obtaining the knowledge of how to plan locally relevant marketing strategies and applying them at the property, as well as knowledge of a budget that utilizes analysis and current research to set objectives, formulate strategies and tactics that link back to the property's Strategic Business plan 
  • Learning to coordinate events, programs, projects, promotions, and marketing partnerships, from planning to outcome evaluation 
  • Understanding agency relationships in relation to planning and coordination with media campaigns and the proper execution of the program of media purchases 
  • Gain a better understanding of digital communication by working on content creation for Outlet Collection Winnipeg's social media channel’s, updating and reviewing the Centre’s website and working with Customer Service to ensure that all customer queries made on digital platforms are answered according to established guidelines 
  • Clerical support, including preparing memos to retailers advising of events, new stores, management updates, etc. 
  • Assisting in the production and installation of creative for in-mall campaigns, events and promotions including the updating of digital directories 
  • Understanding the importance of consumer research by utilizing current market research to improve the Marketing program and positioning of the shopping centre 
  • Participate in monthly team meetings, weekly department meetings, intern meetings and mentor/mentee meetings 
  • Learning about the functions of other shopping centre departments, including Operations, Leasing, Guest Services, Asset Management, and Specialty Leasing.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned


WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Must be currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of the Bachelor of Commerce program in a post-secondary education institution 
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from Outlet Collection Winnipeg
  • Experience in the commercial real estate sector is an asset 
  • Experience in a previous marketing position is an asset
  • Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams; Adobe Professional, X, or Standard;
  • Must be highly motivated, a team player who can actively contribute to the centre's overall objectives 
  • Must be available to occasionally work on weekends and/or evenings for centre Marketing events. 
  • Local travel is sometimes required – employee is responsible for their own transportation

Estimated Compensation: $20-24/h
