Major Duties:

  • Responsible for marketing project management from conception through launch. Coordinates professional marketing campaigns comprised of print, social media, mass media and e-marketing channels to enhance the MCCS brand. Provides professional support, expertise, recommendations and assistance to MCCS program managers, branch directors, and division chiefs in the areas of programs offered, pricing strategy, positioning through advertising/promotion and launch timing. Provides recommendations on media buys and overall advertising budgets. Presents professional oral and written presentations and information. Ensures tasks are scheduled, allocated and completed in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements. Examples include, but are not limited to: website updates, promotional campaigns, strategic campaigns, and database marketing plans (email and direct mail campaigns). Implements project management best practices to ensure the integrity and quality of project deliverable material and is responsible for ensuring an effective project change review process. Anticipates potential scope issues and proactively addresses internally and with MCCS program managers, branch directors, and division chiefs. Coordinates with the Community Relations Manager, Graphic Design Manager, and Digital Media Manager to assign project roles, responsibilities, and develop project briefs. Collaborates with internal Marketing departments to identify problem areas, raise process concerns, and identify resource allocation issues or conflicts. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Digital Media, Journalism, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, Business, Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field appropriate to the work OR 2 years of appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Recent experience in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications or a related field that shows the ability to perform the above duties as required. Demonstrated experience in Project Management, CRM, email, social media campaigns. Demonstrated experience in advertising development, production, and delivery, and familiarity with the related technologies, methodologies, and concepts. Demonstrated experience with Content Management Systems (CMS). Demonstrated ability working with metrics, analysis, and reporting tools, with the ability to analyze this data and make decisions related to marketing and communication efforts. Experience with visual communication principles. Familiarity with design principles. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must successfully complete all applicable background investigations for Federal suitability for employment. The position requires attention to detail, adaptability, collaborative skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines while projecting confidence and courtesy. WORK CONDITIONS: This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Occasional travel may be required.
