Marketing Business Analyst

The Marketing Business Analyst will support data‑driven marketing decisions by helping transform client and campaign performance data into clear, actionable insights. This role works collaboratively with cross‑functional partners across FAS Marketing, PRD, Distribution and Enablement, and FAS Business to support success measurement, evaluate marketing effectiveness, and contribute to test‑and‑learn efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, business curiosity, and clear storytelling, helping marketing leaders understand what is working, why it matters, and how to optimize marketing efforts—specifically in support of Vanguard’s fixed income offering.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze marketing performance across campaigns, channels, audiences, and messages to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.

  • Provide experience in working with marketing stakeholders to turn business requirements into actionable technical specifications and drive data segmentation/personalization.

  • Assist stakeholders in the design and execution of test‑and‑learn approaches (e.g., A/B tests, holdouts, etc.) to evaluate the true impact of marketing initiatives.

  • Deliver insights through to clear recommendations and next steps.

  • Work with internal teams to build and maintain dashboards and self‑service reporting that enable marketers and leaders to quickly understand performance and make informed decisions.

  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to support planning, optimization, and post‑campaign readouts with data‑backed insights.

  • Collaborate with analytics, data, and marketing operations partners to improve measurement frameworks, automation, and scalability of reporting.

  • Contribute to building a data‑driven marketing culture, promoting best practices in measurement, experimentation, and insight generation.

  • Work closely with data analysts, product teams, marketing strategists to align insights with business priorities and ensure analyses support decision‑making across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 5 years’ experience in an analytics, marketing analytics, or data‑focused role, with demonstrated impact on business or marketing decisions.

  • Strong proficiency in analyzing large, complex datasets.

  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau)a plus

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to help translate complex analysis into clear insights for non‑technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.

  • Interest in investment products and financial markets, with this role specifically focused on supporting Vanguard’s fixed income offering.

  • Interest in or exposure to AI‑enabled analytics, advanced measurement approaches, or modern marketing technology stacks.
