Hiring Faculty / unit: School of Continuing Studies / Dean's Office
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Communications at the School of Continuing Studies, the Marketing Associate helps implement the strategic marketing plan of the School and its various units.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Assist in creating and implementing creative multichannel marketing campaigns aligned with SCS goals and priorities to drive brand awareness, increase quality traffic, conversion and ultimately enrolment in the School’s various courses and programs
· Implement and prepare promotional material to support marketing activities targeted to diverse audiences, including indigenous and equity-seeking groups
· Assist in identifying and tracking KPIs, producing reports on metrics and campaign results, and finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
· Support marketing campaigns by developing, preparing, and scheduling email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotional emails, and automated workflows.
· Help manage the School’s social media presence and develop a relevant social media calendar
· Leverage benchmarking, best practices, and metrics to optimize traffic and conversion rates
· Help improve the overall customer experience in an integrated marketing communication strategy
· Assist with research to support marketing strategies, including competitive research, industry, and job market data
· Monitor discussions, resource postings, and trends within the community to identify and report trends in usage and advise on potential opportunities
· Assist in organizing photo and video shoots in support of the School’s marketing objectives
· Keep current with best practices and emerging tools in the rapidly changing fields of digital communications and marketing, Web design, multimedia, and social media
· Collaborate with agencies and other suppliers
· Other duties as required
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
· Proven record of creative thinking in implementing marketing strategies
· Knowledge and experience with effective measurement tools
· Proven ability in content and copywriting (knowledge of direct-response copywriting an asset)
· Demonstrated ability to develop and manage production schedules, prioritize, and meet deadlines
· Project management experience (PMP certification preferred)
· Strong commitment to EDI
· Basic ability in computer design software and content management systems
· Ability to adapt to new technologies and an understanding of the optimal communications and marketing tools for a given task and audience
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Reliable, self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously and with others in a team
· Must be client-focused and service-oriented
· Bilingualism in English and French, spoken and written
Knowledge of other languages considered an asset
