Marketing Assistant - Employee Benefits

Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Marketing Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona!

The Employee Benefits Marketing Assistant supports account management and renewal processes by preparing RFPs, analyses, and client presentations, coordinating with account teams and carriers, managing data and documentation, and staying compliant with licensing requirements, agency standards, and industry developments.

How You will Contribute:

  • Meet requirements for licensing as directed by the branch/agency

  • Draft and construct presentations, spreadsheets, binders as well as various reports and analyses as assigned

  • On all assigned accounts:

    • Use system to create RFP to begin renewal processes on

    • Work with AE/ AM to request early renewal release and 24 months of claims experience from carriers. – 120 days prior to effective date on large group and 90 for small (Note: No claims experience for Groups <100 Employees)

    • Prepare RFP for review with Account Manager and Producer

    • Release RFP to selected Carriers

    • Follow-up, receive and review quotes received from Carriers.

    • Review all quotes and marketing correspondence with AE / AM for determination of what plans and rates to utilize

    • Finalize customer presentations with Account Manager and Producer

  • Maintain effective information management between Account Manager, Producer and Carrier through all applicable means of communication.

  • Ensure all applicable data is kept accurate and files maintained

  • Follow Agency guidelines, policies and procedures

  • Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages and technology

  • Other duties as assigned

Licenses and Certifications:  

  • AZ Life & Health License (obtain within first 6 months of employment)

Skills to be Successful:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 – 3 years' experience in a similar position

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
