The Market Integrations Solution Architect is responsible for designing and guiding compliant, secure, and scalable integration solutions for acquired and federated markets. This role evaluates business and technical requirements and architects solutions that encompass Non‑Functional Requirements (NFRs) (performance, resilience, availability, operability) and GDaTS Non‑Negotiables (security, governance, compliance, and risk controls).
Operating across cybersecurity, infrastructure and cloud, and the broader GDaTS teams, the Solution Architect ensures that market integration designs are pragmatic, defensible, and aligned to the Govern & Secure and Connect & Integrate models. The role focuses on enabling speed and clarity during M&A by applying standard patterns, integration classes, and cloud‑based services rather than bespoke engineering.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists in the analysis, design, and development of a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
Designs standard configurations and patterns.
Aligns architectural requirements with IT strategy.
Consults with project teams to ensure compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure and services.
Identifies opportunities for reuse.
Supports the development of software and data delivery platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different business.
Assists in post-implementation continuous-improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality.
Ensures the conceptual completeness of the technical solution.
Works closely with more senior architects and potentially project management to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered.
Analyzes the current architecture to identify weaknesses and support improvement opportunities.
Keeps technology and service managers aware of key customer issues, identifying and resolving potential problems and conflicts.
Researches and evaluates emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
Identifies the tools and components used for a project from the approved enterprise toolset.
May request exceptions to enterprise toolset.
Assists in developing business cases.
Supports change management initiatives.
Collaborates with project management on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits.
Experience & Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis or a related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Typically has a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years of experience in multiple IT areas with at least two to four (2-4) years of relevant domain experience (data, network, application, systems, etc.).
Requires advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, system engineering and integration.
Proficient communication skills and experience in mentoring/leading teams
Ability to translate complicated business requirements into multiple solution options and explain the pros/cons of various approaches
Prior experience with market integrations - highly desired
Enterprise level experience - required
Professional IT Architecture Certifications - nice to have
