What is the opportunity?

The purpose of this role is to provide technical direction and support for

Global Market Data and Engineering (MDOE) supported products (LSEG, Bloomberg, Solace, Symphony, Springboard, Exegy and FactSet) for Capital Markets (CM)business users and applications globally with primary focus in NA, as well as contributing to the global support if the platforms. Liaison between market data users, technology staff and management to ensure high quality and availability of market data services and messaging platforms.

What you will do?

  • Collaborate and communicate s port of the Global Market Data group on all areas of Market Data architecture, engineering, implementation and support.

  • Partner with application development teams to ensure that market data dependency risks are minimized and that needs are fully understood and met.

  • Ensure documentation on all system in use for production and disaster recovery and regulatory purpose.

  • Ensure production problems, bugs, systems problems/changes are documented, and requests are acted upon promptly. Keep senior management advised of situations that may compromise agreed deliverables and/or affect production systems.

  • Manage and resolve incidents and outage.

  • Manage request for changes, system releases and capacity planning.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions.

  • Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the environment.

  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities.

Must have

  • Good communication skills.

  • Planning organizing and negotiating skills.

  • Demonstrate competency in crafting efficient and effective solution to diverse and complex business problems.

  • Understanding of the Capital Markets business and their Market Data needs.

  • Understanding of Market Data concepts, data feeds, stocks exchanges and vendor reporting requirement.

  • Ability to contribute to the development and execution of a business aligned technology strategy.

  • Ability to achieve strategic deliverables while still meeting short- and medium-term needs.

  • Ability to clearly define and communicate ideas and broker consensus to keep initiatives progressing.

Nice to have

  • Graduate level, preferably in technical degree (computer science, mathematics, engineering)

  • Maintains a client first mentality with a concern for quality and delivery.

  • Collaborates to get buy-in from multiple stakeholders and communicates effectively towards better understanding between multiple groups.

  • Cope with changes and ambiguity while ensuring all effort to make sure that there is cooperation and teamwork.

  • Consistently maintains a positive can-do attitude.

  • A team player who works well within the local and global teams.

  • Self-starter with an eye for the detail required for quality of delivery.

  • Collaborates and co-operates with clients to resolve problems and implement enhancements.

  • Consistently looks to maintain and improve MDOE services.

  • Exposure to market data platforms such as LSEG RTDS, Bloomberg, Exegy or other major market data systems.

  • Knowledge of collaboration tools - Symphony.

  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux, windows, Networking.

  • Knowledge of shell scripting (ksh, sh, csh, perl, python)

  • Knowledge of system monitoring and capacity planning technologies for low latency environments.

  • Experience of underlying networking and server technologies used in market data infrastructures.

  • Understanding of Capital Markets business lines, particularly the Global Equity, Foreign Exchange (FX) and Fixed Income business.
