As the Market Access Manager at GSK, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Oncology brands within Canada’s dynamic healthcare landscape. Reporting to the Oncology Market Access Lead, you'll spearhead the development of comprehensive strategies that ensure our innovative products reach the patients who need them most.

Collaborating with a diverse range of cross-functional teams—including Commercial Business Units, Medical Affairs, Health Economics, Pricing, Patient Engagement, External Affairs, and Policy—you will drive impactful initiatives that navigate both public and private market access. With your strategic leadership, you will shape the market access agenda, ensuring the success of our brands in the complex Canadian health technology market and driving long-term business objectives.  This is a Hybrid position reporting our Mississauga office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of market access strategies, including pre-launch planning and HTA/private payer submission, to communicate brand value to payers.
  • Co-lead evidence generation assessment and planning with the health economics and outcomes research team to support market access goals.
  • As a core brand team member, provide market access expertise to meet brand objectives and contribute to commercial brand planning.
  • Represent market access on regional and global teams to ensure Canadian market access needs are included in brand strategies for optimal patient access.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of health policy and the access environment, proactively sharing and acting on trends or changes.
  • Seek payer insights to understand value drivers, the payer decision-making process, and product profile perception to enhance reimbursement submissions and payer strategy.
  • Develop negotiations strategies to optimize public and private payer reimbursement of assigned products and monitor existing product listing agreements for continued optimized patient access.
  • Partner with market access field-based team to align and implement reimbursement and negotiations strategies, creating clear messages and customized tools for external engagements.
  • Uphold the highest standards of governance and comply with GSK policies, procedures and applicable healthcare laws and regulations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Science, Health Economics, Epidemiology/Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of market access and reimbursement experience and/or related function within the Specialty and/or Oncology therapeutic areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of the HTA (CDA and INESSS), pCPA and private payer processes in Canada preferred
  • Strong commercial and business background is an asset.
  • Proficient in understanding and critically appraising clinical data, and effectively communicating the outcomes and their implications to HTA and payers.
  • Solid understanding of health economics and outcomes research and its implications on payer decision-making
  • In-depth understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, including key trends, issues, opportunities, and stakeholder/payer priorities.
  • Strategic mindset with the capability to develop and implement complex strategies, balancing both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with and influencing cross-functional partners (including leaders), both internally and externally, with diverse perspectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (authentic, trust builder), with the ability to lead cross-functional teams collaboratively and achieve results through others, while setting ambitious goals and having the courage to engage in constructive, difficult conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend business strategy and translate it into market access strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Proactive, resilient, trustworthy, intentional, and unafraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Solution-oriented, with a talent for offering creative options for problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred advanced degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Epidemiology, PharmD, MBA or equivalent.
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience (Market Access, Pricing, Sales, Brand Marketing, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English and French) written and verbal skills an asset.

The annual compensation for this role is CAD102,000 to CAD152,000 , determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
