Maritime Security Officer - Abbot Point

We are seeking a professional Casual Maritime Security Officer to join our team in Abbott Point. This is a great opportunity to work in a high-profile maritime environment, ensuring the safety and security of the facility and all personnel on site.

This position offers a Level 3 pay rate of $35.83 per hour (including casual loading) plus a $2.03 port allowance per hour, First Aid allowance and applicable shift penalties.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Control access for personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the site.
• Conduct foot patrols to ensure site safety.
• Screen staff members arriving or departing the site, including ID verification.
• Maintain the security of restricted zones.
• Record all vehicle movements, personnel entries, and incidents in site logs.

Requirements:

• Full Australian working rights.
• Valid Queensland Security Licence (Unarmed and Monitoring – or willingness to obtain (monitoring))
• QLD White Card (or willing to obtain)
• Occupational First Aid - HLTSS00068 (or willing to obtain).
• Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing HLTPAT005 (or willing to obtain)
• Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSS will sponsor and fund) 
• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
