Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking an Attorney with a strong interest in Maritime law to join our South Florida Maritime group. This is an opportunity to grow and develop your maritime litigation experience at the premier Plaintiff PI firm in the country. Maritime experience is preferred, but not required. We are well equipped to train and mentor the right person who has the desire to develop their skills in pursuit of becoming a world-class litigation Attorney. 

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day handling of mostly maritime litigation cases
  • Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
  • Guide clients through the case process
  • Maintain client relationships
  • Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
  • Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
  • Work closely with Litigation Paralegals and Case Managers 

Requirements

  • Law degree from a fully accredited law school
  • An active member in good standing with the State Bar Association
  • Strong interest in maritime litigation
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
