The Manufacturing Planner plays a dual role in driving operational efficiency while providing critical administrative assistance to the Factory Manager and Supervisors. This position is responsible for analyzing production schedules, material availability, and capacity constraints to improve lead times and enhance factory workflow. It includes hosting daily standups to align the team on priorities, track progress, and drive actions to closure.

The role also includes a variety of administrative support tasks, such as managing calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication across teams. The Manufacturing Planner collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and optimize resource utilization while handling routine office tasks, such as supply management and document filing. Additionally, the position involves monitoring key performance metrics, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and leveraging data-driven insights to recommend strategies for enhancing factory efficiency and throughput.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance strategic planning with administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

  • Provide direct support for manufacturing activities, with extensive time spent within factory and cleanroom environments to ensure seamless operations
  • Provide input into daily production movement targets and monitor product line flow, while serving as a proficient user of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Collaborate with Factory Management on projects and initiatives to drive organizational objectives and achieve control tower metric goals
  • Hosts daily standups to align the team on priorities, track progress, and drive actions to closure
  • Lead and oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance factory operations, improve workflow, and optimize production processes utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Assist with the auditing and reviewing labor charging documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or utilizing production metrics and goal settings.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge of Eyelit or similar MES platforms
  • Project management knowledge or experience
  • Lean six sigma certifications

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
