Job Summary**
The Manufacturing Test Development Engineer designs, develops, and implements robust test solutions for Jabil's diverse product portfolio, ensuring efficient production and the highest quality standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement automated test programs, fixtures, and systems for manufacturing processes, covering a range of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
* Collaborate with design engineering, production, and quality teams to define test requirements, specifications, and strategies.
* Design and build test fixtures, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components, utilizing CAD software and other relevant tools.
* Write and debug test software using various programming languages (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++) and integrate with test equipment.
* Perform test coverage analysis and optimize test processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and defect detection.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex test equipment and product failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
* Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring test readiness and smooth production ramp-up.
* Document test procedures, specifications, and validation reports in accordance with Jabil's quality management system.
* Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on test processes and equipment.
* Stay abreast of new test technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve test capabilities.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 3+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience in designing and developing automated test solutions for electronic products.
* Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for test automation (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++).
* Strong understanding of electrical circuits, digital and analog electronics, and measurement techniques.
* Experience with various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and automated test equipment (ATE).
* Familiarity with CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality control methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
