Manufacturing Technician 1, AOF/AGT
This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group.
How Will You Make an Impact?:
A Manufacturing Technicians daily activities include the use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, lifting and laboratory equipment. You will weigh, measure, and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to assure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities, calibrate and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment, and complete routine or standardized tasks related to manufacturing of cell culture media and perform related duties as required to meet the business goals and requirements.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Required: No previous work experience required
Preferred: Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred. Basic computer skills are required.
Strong attention to detail for instructions and documentation while maintaining quality output.
Perform basic math, verbal, written and oral communication with team members.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Ability to push, pull, lift and move up to 50 pounds and may be required to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties. Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks. Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when required), safety glasses, and gloves. PPE may also include a bump cap, face shield, ad full/half-face respirators.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.05–$21.07.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
