Job Description

Location/Division Specific Information:

As part of the Laboratory Product Group (LPG), the Puerto Rico Electrode manufacturing site focuses on the manufacturing of the highest quality PH electrode sensing products in the industry. These products are the building blocks our customers use to analyze the quality of water and fluids.

Compensation

Shift Information

First: Monday - Friday 5:30am-2:00pm (overtime as needed)

How Will You Make an Impact?

The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for the manufacturing of subassemblies and components of products related to the water and fluid electrode sensor, according to the specifications and established instructions.

A Day in the Life:

·Perform assembly of a product or any other instructions assigned by a group leader or supervisor following the appropriate work instructions.

·Perform visual inspection to raw material and / or subsets of previous assembled electrodes, ensuring production quality.

·Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.

·Perform a visual inspection of the assembly work being done to make sure it is of the best quality possible.

·Responsible for performing all tasks assigned efficiently and safely. Ability and knowledge of the overall  assigned area or cell.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Required: No previous work experience required
  • Preferred: Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or related field

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Oral and written knowledge in Spanish and English.
  • Practical knowledge of units of measurement and basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to accurately follow processes and procedures.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Personal Protection Equipment is required, while the assigned tasks are carried out.
  • Able to follow the safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or sit for 8-10 hours.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Able to string, pick up, manipulate small parts and make repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and / or fingers.
  • Ability to use both hands to perform the formation of glass pieces or manipulation with small tools (glass blowing area).
  • It is required to have visual acuity (20/20).
  • Willing to work overtime in the short-term notice, this may include but is not limited to weekends.
