Job Description Summary

The Advanced Manufacturing Technician 6 performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GE HealthCare product development and manufacturing. Assignments may include, but are not limited to: manufacturing, troubleshooting & root cause analysis, assembly, fabrication and assembly of fixtures and equipment, set up and running of data acquisition equipment for tests and assembly operations, lead compliance and quality activities and train other team members.

Advance Manufacturing Technician Main responsibilities include but not limited to equipment set up, troubleshooting of equipment, understanding of quality data graphics for quality monitoring, escalation of quality and equipment deficiencies, proper documentation according to company guidelines, lite assembly for production, able to follow company operating manufacturing standards for equipment and manufacturing production, basic communication skill both verbal and written to report/document data results. Safety oriented mindset and able to meet delivery goals in a timely manner.

Job Description

Roles Responsibilities

  • Utilize basic technical communications throughout the new product cycle to improve internal models and/or externally sourced components in terms of system performance, reliability, functionality, and serviceability

  • Perform basic trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution.

  • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures

  • Monitor quality data and interpret graphical trends to ensure product compliance

  • Document production and quality data accurately and in accordance with company guidelines

  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

  • Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions

  • Make acquired skills or knowledge available to others train others on manufacturing processes

  • Test production assemblies and sub-assemblies for correct operation and compliance to performance specifications

  • With limited guidance, carry out experiments in which the approach and methods have been outlined. Perform a variety of measurements, obtain and prepare data, make competent experimental observations and report the results

  • Recognize equipment irregularities, which would indicate new or unexpected phenomena or would tend to disrupt the manufacturing process. Bring irregularities to the attention of the supervisor

  • Provide evaluation, constructive feedback and leadership in the development of internal and external engineering, manufacturing, or service documentation

  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all work. As required, with guidance, provide data for formal reports (oral and written) of the work. Also prepare and submit, with guidance, appropriate disclosure letters of patentable ideas when a contribution has been made and evaluated by the supervisor

  • Collaborates with other departments in the planning & execution of duties to ensure the orderly flow of material and information

  • Maintains daily production output

  • Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency

  • Complies with all EHS and Quality procedures and policies

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree with a minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience or High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience

  • Utilize basic technical communications throughout the new product cycle to improve internal models and/or externally sourced components in terms of system performance, reliability, functionality, and serviceability

  • Perform basic trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution. Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions

  • Test production assemblies and sub-assemblies for correct operation and compliance to performance specifications

  • Familiarity with quality monitoring tools and interpreting quality data graphics

  • Prior experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments

  • With limited guidance, carry out experiments in which the approach and methods have been outlined. Perform a variety of measurements, obtain and prepare data, make competent experimental observations and report the results

  • Recognize equipment irregularities, which would indicate new or unexpected phenomena or would tend to disrupt the manufacturing process. Bring irregularities to the attention of the supervisor

  • Intermediate computer skills, including data entry and navigating manufacturing systems

  • Provide evaluation, constructive feedback and leadership

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, including documentation and reporting
