UnspecifiedThe technical leader for Manufacturing Systems leads the teams responsible for MES, SCADA, IIoT, OT networks, factory integration, and data-engineering platforms that enable Collins Singapore’s smart manufacturing ecosystem.
This leader architect’s digital factory infrastructure to support autonomous machining, real-time visibility, predictive analytics, digital twins, and the manufacturing digital thread. The role also includes major technical project management responsibilities in engineering digitalization, advanced manufacturing transformation, new parts & process development, and innovation-driven capability building.
The leader shall collaborates across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Materials, IT, and global RTX Digital teams to deploy secure, scalable, integrated systems that prepare Collins for the Factory of the Future.
Define the digital manufacturing systems strategy that supports Lights-Out Manufacturing and Factory of the Future.
Lead architecture for MES, SCADA, historian, IIoT, OT network infrastructure, edge devices, and secure system integrations.
Develop frameworks for data governance, traceability, equipment connectivity, and real-time production intelligence.
Lead cross functional team of MES engineers, SCADA/IIoT specialists, data engineers, and OT/IT integration experts.
Build competency in MES development, scripting/automation, manufacturing data modelling, cloud/on-prem systems, and digital twin simulation.
Establish best practices for software engineering, version control, cybersecurity, and scalable system deployment.
Lead end-to-end integration of MES/SCADA/IIoT with:
CNC machining centres
ERP, PLM, and APS systems
Sensors, robots, PLCs, gateways
Tool management and traceability systems
Quality and inspection databases
Ensure system uptime, data integrity, redundancy, and cybersecurity compliance across all OT infrastructure.
Deploy IIoT solutions for condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, energy monitoring, and digital twins.
Build structured data pipelines from machines, robots, PLCs, sensors, and historian systems.
Enable analytics through dashboards, KPIs, OEE models, anomaly detection, and event-driven manufacturing insights.
Explore ML/AI applications, reinforcement learning, and simulation-driven planning to enable future autonomous operations.
Lead digital transformation and factory integration projects from requirements to deployment.
Manage budgets, roadmaps, cybersecurity controls, documentation, and system validation.
Ensure compliance with Collins and RTX digital governance, OT security standards, and data protection policies.
Benchmark leading digital factory and MES practices from aerospace and advanced industries.
Improve reliability, data latency, and system performance to support high-automation environments.
Support enterprise-wide digital thread integration across ERP–MES–PLM–APS.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
10–15 years in MES/SCADA/IIoT, OT–IT integration, manufacturing systems engineering, or industrial digitalization.
Proven track record of leading engineering or digital teams for 3–5 years.
Strong experience in complex system integration within machining or automation-heavy environments.
Hands-on experience with MES (Camstar, Apriso, Ignition, Siemens), SCADA, historian, IIoT (ThingWorx, Kepware, HiveMQ, etc.).
Proficiency in SQL, Python, C#, Node.js, scripting, ETL pipelines, and data modelling.
Experience with digital twin/simulation tools (Tecnomatix, Plant Simulation, FlexSim).
Strong understanding of OPC UA, MQTT, APIs, networking, OT cybersecurity, and industrial connectivity.
Experience integrating MES with ERP/PLM systems and building real-time dashboards.
Strong team leadership, talent development, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to lead large-scale digital transformation programs.
Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment across operations and global digital teams.
