Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd Shift

As a critical part of the Operations leadership team, the Manufacturing Supervisor (2nd shift) will guide and support the team to achieve production targets by setting expectations, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with systems, policies, and procedures. You will be onsite for 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, overseeing daily manufacturing activities and fostering a safe and collaborative environment for continuous improvement.
This position is responsible for supervision of production employees on 2nd shift.
This role is onsite and is based in Germantown, WI

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, providing personal growth opportunities.
  • Oversee work flow by monitoring process steps, setting processing variables, and observing control points and equipment.
  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning resources, resolving problems, and reporting shift production summaries.
  • Ensure quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
  • Facilitate equipment operation by arranging for repairs, evaluating new techniques, and streamlining processes.
  • Compile and analyze production performance data, responding to requests and questions from stakeholders.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices and identifying areas for change.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, educating and directing employees on equipment use and policy compliance.
  • Resolve employee relations challenges by investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions.
  • Stay up to date with professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and engaging in professional networks.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Operations management.
  • Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)
  • Travel Requirements: <10%

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, manufacturing, or a technical field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience; or bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a manufacturing field, and 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory  experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.

  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of production supervisory experience.

Working Conditions:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment.

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company’s Germantown, WI location. Your scheduled work hours will be 2nd shift.

Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.
  • Ability to read documents and use a computer.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up 30 pounds.
  • Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
