DESCRIPTION:
Join us as a Plant/Site Lead and contribute to enabling scientific breakthroughs. In this role, you'll oversee daily activities in production and repository environments, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You'll manage a team responsible for biological materials, chemical processes, and production operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures. This position involves implementing continuous improvement initiatives and working with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver excellence in scientific operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in biological repository, chemical manufacturing, or similar regulated environment
· Preferred Fields of Study: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related scientific field
· DOT and IATA certification required for handling and shipping regulated materials
· 4+ years inventory management experience
· 1-2 years supervisory experience
· Expertise in cGMP, quality assurance, and control procedures
· Knowledge of Universal Precautions and safe handling of biological/hazardous materials
· Proficiency in relevant software systems (SAP, In-Trak, Nautilus, TrackWise)
· Strong leadership and team management capabilities
· Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
· Experience with SOP development and implementation
· Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments (-20°C to room temperature)
· Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
· Experience with cryogenic materials and dry ice handling
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to participate in on-call rotation and emergency response
· Demonstrated knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance
· Experience with facility management and equipment maintenance oversight
