As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a hands‑on role in supporting daily production, improving processes, and driving operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with operators, technicians, quality engineers, and leadership to enhance safety, quality, and throughput. In this role, you will be:
Supporting daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues and implementing corrective actions
Developing, documenting, and improving standard work instructions, process flows, and manufacturing procedures
Assisting in designing tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve safety, quality, and throughput
Collecting and analyzing production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
Participating in root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S)
Supporting new product introductions by defining manufacturing requirements and validating processes
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth production and adherence to quality standards
Maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Production Support & Troubleshooting
Supporting daily manufacturing operations and resolving process issues
Implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve stability
Working directly with operators and technicians to ensure smooth workflow
Process Development & Optimization
Developing and improving standard work instructions, process flows, and procedures
Designing tools, fixtures, and equipment to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
Identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Collecting and analyzing production data to drive decision‑making
Participating in Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives
Conducting root‑cause analysis to address quality or performance issues
New Product Introduction (NPI)
Supporting manufacturing readiness for new products
Defining process requirements and validating production methods
Ensuring smooth transition from prototype to full‑scale production
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Compliance
Collaborating with quality, operations, engineering, and leadership teams
Ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Supporting audits, documentation updates, and compliance activities
To be successful in this role you will:
Required Qualifications
Have bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Have ability to work effectively on the production floor and communicate across technical and non‑technical teams
Have familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
Have basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, fabrication, or automation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or co‑op experience in a manufacturing environment
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
Experience with data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, or similar)
Knowledge of GD&T, PFMEA, or control plans

The annual pay scale for this position is between $62,310.00 - $115,510.00.Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation.
