Starting Salary $24.44/hr
The Manufacturing Operator, aligned to the Fabrication area, is responsible for performing manufacturing processes in any combination of required tasks associated with the safe and efficient operation of the production line as it relates to producing water elements (membrane). They will be involved in multiple different phases of the production and will perform tasks as specified in written procedures to support the full production process; manufacturing/rolling, finishing, testing/packaging, and handling of materials.
We’re hiring for the following shifts:
1 position opening for 5A shift which is Friday night – Sunday night. 12hrs from 6:30pm – 6:30am.
2 opening for 5B shift which is Saturday night – Monday night. 12hrs from 6:30pm – 6:30am.
As a Manufacturing Operator, you will:
Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
Operate and field check process equipment by monitoring process conditions, equipment, and control systems if necessary.
Reads production schedule to determine set up product to be produced during the current days production run.
Responsible for working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemicals and other elements.
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand; stand and/or walk for up to 8 or 12 hours per day, walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time; and will require the ability to lift maneuver and carry up to 45 lbs, pull with up to 82 lbs force and push with up to 50 lbs force.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required)
Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
Able to read and navigate Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) panels
A valid state driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in warehouse/logistics/ manufacturing or production is preferred.
A minimum of 3 year’s chemical or industrial manufacturing experience or 4+ years military experience is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and can learn new systems quickly is preferred.
Fork Lift; power materials handling equipment operation experience/certification is preferred.
