This leadership position is critical to the success of our manufacturing operations team. As a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor you will make an impact

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Ensure all quality related items for multiple Shared Resource cells are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.  

  • Guide cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.  

  • Plan and execute scheduling for multiple complex cells to meet production schedules. 

  • Facilitates tier I and attends tier II meetings daily. Resolve all issues impacting production and escalate issues that cannot be with IPT. 

  • Guide the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for multiple cells or a complex cell to optimize productivity.  

  • Facilitate activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.  

  • Guide production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities.  

  • Collaborate with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service.  

  • Ensure all employees have a safety-first mindset and are adhering to EH&S policies. 

  • Execute production plan in line with the MPS (Master Production Schedule) to achieve on time delivery, hours, and efficiency commitments.  

  • Real time problem resolution and troubleshooting issues as they arise without the direction of management.  

  • Effectively manage resource requirements in line with capacity models and demand rates  

  • Pulse survey participation, listening to feedback and driving improvement actions.  

  • Lead and conducts meetings / reviews and prepares information to communicate the status of the programs to internal and external customers. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE: 

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience. 

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:  

  • 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.  

  • LEAN certification. 

  • SAP proficiency 

  • STEM degree or background. 

  • Collaborative leadership behaviors that emphasize high goal setting, team empowerment and providing support.  

  • Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.  

  • Ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
