Our US Medical Products and Distribution (“USMPD”) business segment is currently looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead the manufacturing operations department at our Sustainable Technologies™ facility in Riverview, Florida. The Manager is accountable for leading manufacturing operations to meet financial, quality, safety, and delivery objectives through effective planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the team, fostering a high‑performance, union‑free workplace through clear expectations, training, and support.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Plant Leadership to improve manufacturing efficiency, cost reduction, capacity planning, and alignment with overall plant strategy.
- Ensure full compliance with Cardinal Health policies, cGMP standards, and all Federal Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements across the production organization.
- Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement using COS, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, SMED, 6S, and OEE to enhance productivity, quality, and operational excellence.
- Develop, coach, and mentor direct reports through performance management, career development planning, and succession readiness.
- Prepare, manage, and review departmental budgets while leading cost‑control and efficiency initiatives across production and the site.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to implement best practices, resolve issues, support department growth, and assume plant management responsibilities as needed.
- Provide clear expectations, training and support to department. Develop direct reports, coach, mentor, and handle performance reviews.
- Maintain a high-level accountability to self and department to achieve on time, on budget, and high-quality work.
- Partner with other plant leaders and collaborate to find the best possible solution and best practices. Lead, coach and train employees toward team concepts and foster environment for empowered, high-performance department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Several years of hands-on experience in manufacturing production, with 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma experience preferred: Proficiency in process improvement, waste reduction, and quality control.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for managing employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Problem-Solving: Strong skills in root cause analysis to solve technical malfunctions and supply chain disruptions.
- Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and cGMP compliance in specialized fields
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of production machinery, inventory management software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite), and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
Anticipated salary range: $87,700 - $145,350
