As a Mfg Material Handler, you are responsible to put away received incoming product, collecting finished goods and delivering to shipping Dept., supplying components to manufacturing production floor, as well as ensuring the restocking of materials in the supermarket and department lineside racks.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Move materials to and from work cells, delivering trucks, storage trucks, and manufacturing areas.
Fills requisitions or requests for materials or other stock items and distributes items to departments.
Assist with preparation of material. This may include but is not limited to; cutting, labeling, un-packing, preparing raw material per job, etc.
Assess component/material availability and alert department team leader to potential outages in production.
Prepare/package finished goods for collection.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing and unloading.
Receives, stores, picks and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within distribution centers to complete orders.
May operate trucks, forklifts, cranes and other power industrial equipment to move materials with necessary certification being completed.
Assist production with removal of waste, debris, excess material, etc. to ensure continuous production.
Comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
Perform other duties as assigned or directed by supervision which may include direct labor.
Reads “Inventory Control System” inquiries or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed per via cycle count.
YOU HAVE:
High School Diploma or GED
Warehouse/Material Handling experience preferred or related job aptitude (e.g., ability to troubleshoot and follow instructions)
Experience following work instructions
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Basic Math Skills
Experience using hand and power tools
Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred
Capable of using tow motors, lift assist equipment and other warehouse equipment. Some visual verification and manual dexterity are required. Results-oriented and ability to learn the various material handling functions.
