Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Manager at Olink, Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a key role in creating the best possible conditions for our production teams to succeed. Through present, supportive, and trust-based leadership, you will enable employees to perform at their best while ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operation. This role is based in central Uppsala and will report to Head of Manufacturing.
Lead with a clear focus on people development, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while proactively working with production planning, capacity, and competence development to stay one step ahead of future needs.
Fostering knowledge sharing and building strong, capable teams to help ensure long-term stability and flexibility in our production environment.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational responsibility.
You will work closely with cross-functional partners to optimize manufacturing processes, implement improvements and new technologies, and ensure full compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Through your leadership, you will contribute directly to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Relevant academic degree and several years of experience in manufacturing or production leadership, preferably within regulated environments (FDA, GMP, ISO).
Preferred background in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related technical field.
Understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
Experience or strong interest in continuous improvement, including Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma (certification is an advantage but not required).
Experience or aptitude in production planning, capacity management, resource allocation, and managing operational priorities and budgets.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements.
Familiarity with manufacturing systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Flexibility to changing business needs, and work in manufacturing environments using required PPE.
People-focused leadership experience, with the ability to build engagement, accountability, and high-performing teams.
Proven ability to develop, coach, and support team members while encouraging knowledge sharing and competence development.
Strong collaboration skills, building effective relationships across functions.
Clear, open, and inclusive communication skills, engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
