Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager to lead the Boeing Sheffield, UK Fabrication site.

The Site leader is responsible for managing approximately 120-140 employees alongside all facets of the Site, from operations to facility planning. A Manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals, while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans and policies and procedures.
  • Guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities and provides technical management of suppliers.
  • Leads process improvements and deploys Boeing Production System (BPS).
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in leading, people managing and developing employees.
  • 5+ years experience in an aerospace, manufacturing and a fabrication environment.
  • 5+ years of experience advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules, or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years using LEAN manufacturing and/or continuous Improvement practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of the Boeing Production System (BPS).
