Participants have the opportunity to develop strong manufacturing and engineering knowledge as well as build relationships through exposure to challenging assignments and diverse experiences. Participants will gain valuable experience in a highly regulated medical manufacturing setting that manufactures and distributes healthcare products to a broad range of healthcare customers. The program is designed to give participants knowledge of both technical engineering and leadership capabilities.

Participants will complete a 12-month assignment within a team at a manufacturing site. Roles will be determined based on business need.

Job Description Summary

To perform and supervise and control all aspects of planning and purchasing activities for all raw materials and ensure all assignments will be completed and met the company’s objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring movement of Raw Material and developing a systematical materials requirement plan to ensure no stock-out and inventory turns in target
  • Monitoring engineering change of Raw Material & Packaging and Implementation, to ensure no obsolete inventory from old space
  • Analyze actual and forecast of production plan and interpret into requirements of materials and supplies on timely basis
  • Perform purchase Raw Material according to the requirements with competitive prices and ensure that all items meet requirements in terms of quality, quantity, prices and delivery
  • Coordinates with production, warehouse and QA to dispose of all rejected materials bout in coming inspection process and production, follow up & close PRR
  • Prepares all aspects of procurement solicitations for formally advertised or negotiated procedures which include terms and conditions, scope of work, insurance and bonding requirements, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Negotiates with suppliers establishing price, delivery, quantity, payment, scope of work, change orders request; research sources of supply; determines sole source validity and methods of procurement action
  • Perform making the contract with the main suppliers and evaluate their performance during contract period
  • Provides liaison services between vendors and department heads for procurement procedures, order status, and problem resolution; advises departments on cost effective alternatives
  • Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines
  • Manages and/or coordinates multiple projects which contract for specialized services, are large in scope, or involve major equipment acquisition
  • Sourcing for new suppliers to support the objectives of VIP project across departments
  • Perform evaluated supplier performance for purposes both new supplier qualification and annual review
  • Monitor and control Purchase Price Variance against Standard cost
  • Set up standard cost of Raw Material for new fiscal year budgeting
  • May lead, guide, and train his/her employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation
  • Responsible for safety in the workplace and safety of direct report staff
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating direct reports for compliance with workplace safety and environment policy
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Emphasize company environment health and safety rules and regulations to employees and ensure compliance
  • Ensure that all accidents & near miss are reported to management and injured are given proper treatment
  • Investigate all accident & near miss and make necessary reports and recommendations
  • Take disciplinary action on any safety violation in consultation with safety officer and or Human Resource Manager

Qualifications

For consideration in the Cardinal Health Early Career Development Program, you must meet a combination of the following requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
  • Accumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale (or country equivalent)
  • Understanding of procurement processes, purchase orders, and inventory management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas
  • Ability to work with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis for demand forecasting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Native Thai
  • Knowledge of contract law
  • Strong leadership, have negotiating skills
  • Problem-solving ability for handling delays or quality issues
  • Team player with willingness to learn
  • Participation in extracurricular activities and/or community service
  • Must have unlimited work authorization in the Thailand with no requirement for future sponsorship
  • Candidate must be based at Cardinal Health Rayong Manufacturing site – 5 days a week
