Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineering Analyst is a vital role within our manufacturing operations, focusing on enhancing our engineering processes through advanced statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making. This position requires a keen analytical mindset and a robust background in statistics to support continuous improvement initiatives and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
 

Areas of Focus:

- Statistical Analysis: Utilizing statistical tools to analyze process data and identify improvement opportunities.

- Process Optimization: Applying analytical skills to enhance production processes and outcomes.

- Data Management: Collecting and managing data effectively to support operational and strategic decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze manufacturing data using statistical software such as Minitab to drive process improvements.

- Statistical Modeling: Develop and implement statistical models to predict process behaviors and outcomes. Initiate and conduct studies like Design of Experiments (DOE) and hypothesis testing to enhance process understanding.

- Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare detailed reports on analysis results and present findings to management, recommending actionable strategies for process optimization.

- Process Capability: Develop a standard monthly report for all plants on statistical capability analysis for Critical to Process (CTP) and Critical to Quality (CTQ).

- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with engineering teams to integrate new analytical techniques into daily operations and support cross-functional teams in problem-solving tasks.

- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in predictive statistics and manufacturing processes to continuously improve personal expertise and departmental performance.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s (or in process) degree in Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

- Some Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in data collection and analysis.

- Knowledge in statistical analysis software, especially Minitab.

- Good problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
