Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling Design

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling Design you will be responsible for;

  • Providing tooling design support across all repair lines, including fixture, gauge, and tooling creation.
  • Review and design tools to ensure compliance with repair documentation and quality standards.
  • Collaborated with suppliers to manage lead times, costs, and delivery schedules.
  • Supported operator training, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participated in new product industrialization and capital expenditure projects.
  • Applied lean manufacturing principles to optimize process efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications;

  • 3+ years of tooling design experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, drawings, and GD&T
  • AutoCAD and Inventor are a plus.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining, welding, heat treatments, surface treatments, and inspection methods (CMM, NDT).
  • Understanding of GD&T and ISO/ANSI drawing standards.
  • A Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

 

Salary Range: $70K-$90K

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience 

Duration: 6-12 months, with potential extension

Note: Due to the nature of the work and potential exposure to export-controlled programs, candidates already eligible to work on U.S. aerospace programs are preferred; however, strong skill alignment remains the top priority.
