DESCRIPTION:
Join our manufacturing engineering team and make a meaningful impact on advanced technology and processes. As an Engineer II in Manufacturing Engineering, you'll support continuous improvement, ensure quality standards, and optimize production processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Lead technical projects and provide manufacturing support to help deliver innovative solutions that enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities:
- Manage both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, strictly applying operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Serve as the Authority (SME) for the manufacturing area, making independent judgments and decisions.
- During reactive maintenance incidents, apply fault-finding techniques and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and successfully implement corrective actions.
- Document all maintenance activities meticulously, highlighting any errors and suggesting improvements, while taking ownership of necessary documentation processes.
- Efficiently apply resources to acquire services and components, ensuring accurate documentation and approvals.
- Collaborate closely with internal customers to align improvements with business priorities.
- Work effectively with third parties to manage equipment and system obsolescence.
- Monitor and adjust critical spares inventory as needed.
- Justify and implement equipment upgrades.
- Write clear, detailed maintenance instructions.
- Drive efficiency improvements within the maintenance team, reducing waste and non-value-adding activities.
- Ensure accurate completion of all activities within your manufacturing area, adhering to agreed targets and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace in line with 5S principles.
- Mentor and upskill engineering and non-engineering staff.
- Provide comprehensive site support as required.
- Participate in projects defined by engineering management.
- Align with GMP requirements and company policies.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience as an engineer, with a strong understanding of electrical control and automated systems.
- Proactive and logical approach to problem-solving, applying lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to meet critical timelines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
