Who We Want:
Challenge Mfg. Company’s Internship Program allows students to obtain real world work experience through technical and software exposure. This exposure is granted through individual projects, hands-on tasks on the plant floor, and much more. Challenge Mfg. We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team!
What You'll Do:
Revise and improve Job Element Sheets (JES) to:
Increase clarity and ease of use
Add detailed documentation for machine movement during load processes
Improve overall process transparency and consistency
Evaluate and implement necessary material layout adjustments within operations and sub-operations to improve workflow efficiency.
Analyze and combine operations where feasible to:
Maximize efficiency
Reduce manpower requirements
Maintain required cycle times
Prevent quality defects
Lead improvement initiatives across 39 RTO processes, with focused enhancements on 22 identified areas requiring:
JES updates
Visual aid development
Process layout improvements
Increased operational versatility
Reduced training time
Improved cycle time performance
Ensure all process improvements align with safety, quality, and production standards.
When and Where:
This will be a 1st Shift 7am - 4pm M-F position located at our Plant in Spartanburg, SC.
