As a Manufacturing Engineer II you will develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. Analyze product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes that support our customer requirements. You would apply your skills to develop, test, modify, and create solutions through a collaborative effort with various teams.
This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What You Will Do
Develop Manufacturing processes including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, machine programming and fixture designs.
Support daily manufacturing areas, process troubleshooting, incorporation of engineering changes, dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation as required
Guide and support problem resolution that has major impact to operations.
Drive Continuous Improvement impacting cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using lean manufacturing principles and data driven decision making.
Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes, leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written)

Qualifications We Prefer:
Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail
Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques
Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Demonstrated hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines.
Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills in both Spanish and English.
Experience with Coating technologies, machinery and programming
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)
