Drive improved product quality and manufacturing performance by identifying issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
Provide day-to-day technical support to production, including troubleshooting manufacturing, packaging, tooling, and equipment-related issues.
Collaborate with Production Associates and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, equipment, tooling, and product design.
Lead validation and verification activities to ensure regulatory compliance, including identifying processes requiring validation, developing plans and acceptance criteria, executing protocols, and completing final analysis.
Support new product introductions and manufacturing releases by partnering with design, quality, and operations teams to ensure producibility, reliability, resiliency, and cost targets are met.
Develop and improve manufacturing processes, workstation designs, and layouts to reduce cycle time, optimize material flow, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Create and maintain detailed process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and documentation; identify and support automation opportunities where appropriate.
Monitor and improve productivity while ensuring customer commitments are met in a timely, quality-focused, and cost-conscious manner.
Support equipment reliability through troubleshooting, specification, and coordination of planned maintenance routines.
Lead and support compliance activities, including Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives, ensuring safe processes that meet all local and federal regulations and driving corrective actions as needed.
Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of operational excellence across the plant.
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to less experienced colleagues; may lead small, low-risk projects and contribute to team alignment and effective communication.
B.S. Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree and 3 years of experience or Associate’s degree and 5 years of experience or High School diploma with 7 years of experience in production or engineering.
Master’s degree in Engineering or Business
Strong analytical problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement best practices
Proven leadership experience with strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills in global, cross‑functional environments
Ability to clearly and simply articulate technical issues
Effective in highly ambiguous environments; self‑starter with strong initiative
Knowledge of Lean principles and tools; Six Sigma Green Belt certified
Working knowledge of GE HealthCare design tools and processes
Experience in the medical device or other regulated industry
Proven ability to meet aggressive targets for reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery
