Job Description Summary

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes for medical devices. You will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality healthcare solutions.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling for new and existing medical device products.
  • Optimize production workflows, layouts, and material handling systems to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
  • Conduct time studies, process capability studies, and statistical analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and quality control plans.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product introduction and ongoing production support.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, materials, and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA), and GE's internal quality procedures.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects to drive operational excellence.
  • Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the medical device, automotive, or aerospace industries.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and analyzing manufacturing layouts and tooling.
  • Experience with process validation, statistical process control (SPC), and other quality assurance tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485) and regulatory requirements for medical devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
