We have an opening for Manufacturing APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) Engineer Analyst role. 

Job Type: Contract of 12 months extendable (with Client)

Work location: Penang

Mode of work: Hybrid work 50% office & 50% WFH)

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and manufacturing requirements and translate them into IT/OT system functional specifications. 
  • Participate in the implementation, configuration, and support of Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems for manufacturing operations. 
  • Support Planning and Scheduling system modeling covering but not limited to capacity planning and scheduling, resource, tool, and process constraints and production sequencing and priority rules
  • Work closely with manufacturing, planning, and supply chain stakeholders to ensure system logic reflects operational requirements. 
  • Author design specifications and/or functional specifications for APS systems as well as other planning or manufacturing systems under the team’s purview. 
  • Design test cases and test scenarios and perform system testing to validate planning and scheduling outcomes. 
  • Provide 2nd level support and resolution for APS systems and other IT OT systems assigned to the team. 
  • Support integration between APS systems and related platforms such as MES, ERP, and other manufacturing or planning systems. 
  • Create training materials and conduct training sessions for users on system functionality, processes, and best practices. 
  • Align and track functional requirements between global sites to ensure system standardization and consistency. 
  • Participate in ams OSRAM Excellence activities such as Productivity Improvement, Lean, KAIZEN, and similar initiatives to support continuous system and process improvement. 
  • Be flexible and support other IT OT system assignments beyond APS, based on project and organizational needs. 

Requirements: 

  • Master Degree / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 4 to 5 year(s) of working experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment is desirable but enthusiastic 
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle database is mandatory. 
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing planning and scheduling concepts is desirable, including capacity planning, finite scheduling, and constraint-based planning.
  • Experience with Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems is an added advantage, especially FPS by INFICON
  • Experience in planning system, MES, or manufacturing system implementation projects is highly desirable.
  • A highly inquisitive nature with an attention to detail, coupled with creativeness & innovativeness are the traits that would help the candidate to excel in this position while being self-driven and a
  • strong team player would bring them places. 
  • Good command of the English language and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of people is desirable.
