About your role

As a Manager Coach Lending, you will support the Business Home Lending team by coaching and uplifting capability of Business Home Lenders & Leaders to deliver strong customer and lending outcomes. You will play a key role in supporting complex home lending scenarios within a commercial lending context, partnering closely with lenders and Credit teams to drive consistency, quality and risk outcomes.

Your responsibilities

More specifically, you will:

  • Actively lead business home lending deal discussions, taking a holistic approach to home loan credit applications to reduce error rates and ensure compliance

  • Provide proactive, tailored coaching to uplift capability in key lending areas

  • Support lenders with complex home lending scenarios within a commercial lending context

  • Work closely with Credit teams and lenders on a daily basis

  • Support complex financial analysis and data extraction for relationship-managed customers

  • Facilitate coaching and ongoing training to enhance knowledge of CBA commercial home loan products, processes and systems

  • Drive consistent application of lending policy across commercial and business home lending

  • Be accountable for improving business home lending capability and performance

  • Adhere to approved training and development programs to maintain compliant and consistent standards

  • Support ongoing commercial accreditation of our people

  • Act as a point of escalation for unresolved compliance breaches and operational changes

  • Coach on commercial credit standards, process and policy, applying sound risk judgement within delegations

  • Partner with leaders to address audit outcomes and uplift capability through post-funding file reviews, coaching and feedback

About you

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated commercial lending experience (essential)

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial lending policy, with exposure to home lending

  • Advanced knowledge of CBA commercial lending processes and systems (CCL/CHL), including reporting

  • Strong credit assessment and preparation skills, with advanced problem-solving ability

  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and training facilitation experience

  • Experience within commercial lending risk management frameworks (e.g. credit assurance/hindsight)

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills

  • Sound knowledge of the Group’s sales and service methodology and processes

  • Qualification in coaching (CAN Coaching/IGROW preferred)

  • Strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills

  • Commitment to driving excellence and quality customer outcomes, supporting our goal to achieve NPS +30
