Managing Principal Consultant - Credit Risk and Market Risk–driven regulatory and transformation initiatives
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior Finance & Treasury Transformation professional to join our Finance, Risk, Regulation & Reporting (FRRF) practice. This role focuses on leading Credit Risk and Market Risk–driven regulatory and transformation initiatives for global financial services clients. The position involves advising C‑suite stakeholders (CFO, CRO, Treasurer) and delivering complex, multi-year transformation programs across finance, treasury, and risk functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver large-scale Finance, Treasury, Credit Risk, and Market Risk transformation programs
- Own regulatory change initiatives including Basel (Credit & Market Risk), ICAAP, ILAAP, IFRS 9, PRA/EBA
- Design target operating models, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity optimization strategies
- Oversee regulatory and management reporting (ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP)
- Drive process efficiency, automation, analytics, and technology-enabled transformation
- Establish robust governance, control frameworks, and regulatory assurance
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Audit
- Translate business and risk requirements into functional and technology solutions
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes
Skills & Experience
- Deep expertise in Credit Risk, Market Risk, Finance, and Treasury within financial services
- Strong hands-on experience with Basel, ICAAP/ILAAP, IFRS/IFRS 9, regulatory remediation
- Proven delivery of finance/risk transformation programs (consulting or in-house)
- Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, capital, liquidity, and cost allocation
- Experience with finance and risk technologies (ERP, accounting engines, sub-ledgers, reporting platforms)
- Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills
Leadership & MP Expectations
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert across Finance & Risk Transformation
- Lead solution design, propositions, and client delivery teams
- Build and grow senior client relationships and revenue pipeline
- Lead RFPs, proposals, and market-facing initiatives
- Mentor and develop high-performing teams
- Contribute to thought leadership and growth of the FRRF practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior C‑suite advisory exposure
- Experience with Agile / Prince2 / PMI delivery models
