Job Details:

This position has comprehensive responsibility for all functional areas of multiple plant locations including the efficient operation of production maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping & receiving, sanitation, scheduling , quality and process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 The responsibilities of this position include :

  • Motivating managers to provide guidance and programs to enhance the skill level of their team members
  • Resolving issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Reviewing cost and performance data to help determine areas in need of improvement
  • Contributing and analyzing efficiency reports and obtaining approval and executing all capital improvements for the designated facilities
  • Initiating discussion and implementation of improvement in all phases of production
  • Assisting in identifying evaluating and correcting problems
  • Safety food safety and food quality
  • Other duties as assigned.

Role Scope: 

  • Provides guidance, leadership and coaching to Plant Managers and support groups across the division. 
  • Required to successfully fill in when necessary in the absence of a Plant Manager.
  • Develop and lead problem resolution and providing optimal solutions for daily operations. 
  • Address, correct and hold accountable plants that are underperforming. 
  • Effectively motivate leadership team to reach short and long-term goals. 
  • New plant manager onboarding and training. 
  • Identify and deliver development opportunities for plant management 
  • Identify needs, establish and execute training for managers focusing plant manager level 
  • Oversee manage special projects for the Business Unit 
  • Responsible for identifying key performers for succession planning and assisting to develop the pipeline

Requirements:  
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience  
Experience: 12 plus years of manufacturing operations experience; relevant beef operations experience a plus
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills 
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
Supervisory: Managing several groups of personnel who perform diverse tasks and activities in several locations
Travel: Extensive travel with temporary relocation may be required

$183,000.00 - $307,000.00

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson’s total compensation package.
