Our integrated corporate and investment banking team is comprised of experienced professionals each with specialized industry expertise within the broadly defined Consumer, Industrial and Retail sector across both traditional and emerging sectors — from business services to consumer discretionary, manufacturing and industrials to retail, transportation and logistics to gaming, education, and leisure, renewable energy and beyond — offering financial strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client’s operations.  These clients include public and privately held companies with annual revenues exceeding $300 million. Texas Capital provides value to our clients by utilizing our strong industry expertise to support all transactions, including the formation of capital as well as advisory services.

 

Corporate banking focuses primarily on the origination, structuring and syndication of secured corporate loans with Texas Capital in the Administrative Agent role. Corporate Banking is also responsible for delivering Texas Capital's extensive Treasury Management platform and risk management products and services. Corporate Banking relationships help to deliver the bank's full range of investment banking services relevant to our clients’ financing and strategic development including advice on Institutional Term Loans, Private Credit Term Loans, First Out Facilities, First-lien/Second-Lien Facilities, High Yield Bonds, Private Placements, Public Equity Offerings, M&A, Securitizations, etc.

 

The Managing Director, as senior relationship manager, will champion a client-centric culture and drives the strategy to acquire or retain and expand client relationships to generate revenue and increase share of wallet by presenting the full range of Texas Capital's products and services and delivering the entire bank to the client.

 

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, exceptional client service, and leadership skills to drive business growth and strengthen the Corporate Banking team’s capabilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, serving as the primary contact for C-suite executives and decision-makers.
  • Tailored Solutions: Develop customized financial solutions based on client needs, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights.
  • Business Development: Drive growth by identifying new opportunities and deepening relationships within the existing client base.
  • Product Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to cross-sell products such as treasury management, credit, and investment banking services.
  • Risk and Credit Oversight: Work closely with credit teams to structure, underwrite, and monitor deals, ensuring strong credit quality and compliance.
  • Mentorship: Mentor Analysts and Associates, providing guidance on technical skills, client management, and professional growth.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct regular reviews and maintain high levels of client engagement to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Deal Execution: Lead client pitches, negotiations, and presentations to secure new business and expand relationships.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, risk frameworks, and internal policies.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture within the Corporate Banking team, contributing to overall success.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in business (Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, etc.) or other relevant degree.
  • Experience: 10+ years in corporate or investment banking with a proven track record of relationship management and portfolio growth.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the suite of banking products and services.
  • Leadership: Experience mentoring junior team members and fostering a high-performing, inclusive environment.
  • Skills: Strong expertise in corporate finance, credit analysis, and strategic advisory. 

Training:

  • FINRA 6, 63 and 79 required within 180 days

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
