ABOUT THE JOB:

The Managing Counsel as part of a global legal team serves as a senior legal advisor to the organization, overseeing complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring that the company’s strategic objectives are supported by sound legal guidance. The Managing Counsel will operate as a trusted partner to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring the organization’s interests are safeguarded in an evolving regulatory and commercial landscape.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Legal Advisory: Provide specialized legal advice and counsel on complex matters within the organization’s area of global operations, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation

  • Legal Expertise: Deep understanding of laws, regulations, and legal principles relevant to the organization’s industry and operations. Experience providing legal guidance on GDPR matters is preferred

  • Contract Management: Draft, structure, review, and negotiate sophisticated contracts and agreements to align with organizational objectives and protect legal interests, including creation of templates

  • Analytical Thinking: Advanced ability to analyze complex legal and global business issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations

  • Regulatory Analysis: Analyze and interpret internal and external regulatory challenges, recommending best practices to improve compliance and operational efficiency

  • Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Expertise in drafting, structuring, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreeements to mitigate risks and protect organizational interests

  • Problem Resolution: Lead efforts to solve complex legal problems using advanced analytical skills and innovative approaches to achieve optimal outcomes

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and the ability to anticipate and address regulatory challenges, including GDPR matters

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate legal considerations into business strategies and operational processes

  • Problem-Solving: Sophisticated problem-solving skills to identify innovative solutions for complex legal and operational issues

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in the relevant country and jurisdiction(s)

  • 10+ years of prior experience as a practicing lawyer or legal advisor; Prior experience with a multi-national company preferred

  • Fluent Polish & English

  • Skilled in the context of litigation strategy, with a sound understanding of procedural strategy

  • Ability to align legal strategies with organizational goals and recommend best practices to improve processes and services

  • Expertise in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating legal risks to safeguard the organization

  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and integrate legal advice into business operations

  • High ethical standards and sound judgment to guide the organization in maintaining compliance and integrity
