Title and Summary

Managing Consultant, Performance Analytics, Advisors & Consulting Services

Managing Consultant / Senior Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong consulting and problem-solving skills. This is not a “back-office” analytics role – we need someone who can partner with business leaders, identify opportunities, and deliver end-to-end analytics use cases that drive measurable impact.
The ideal candidate - a consultant-turned-analyst or an analyst with consulting DNA, who possess the following skills:
Consulting mindset (e.g., from MBB / Tier-2 consulting, or equivalent problem-solving background)
Deep analytics expertise in banking industry (data wrangling, statistical modeling, visualization, A/B testing, campaign analysis, scoring/segmentation)
Business ownership (ability to define problems, design solutions, quantify impact, and implement recommendations)

Key Responsibilities

1. Problem Identification & Solution Design
Proactively identify key business challenges and growth opportunities in the Cards & Payments portfolio (e.g., acquisition, activation, usage, cross-sell, retention, credit risk, fraud).
Partner with stakeholders across product, risk, marketing, operations, and digital to frame hypotheses and define problem statements.
Translate strategic questions into structured analytics projects with clear success metrics.
2. Analytics Delivery
Extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources (transactional, credit bureau, digital channels, campaigns, etc.).
Build customer segmentation, predictive models, campaign targeting frameworks, and profitability analyses.
Design and evaluate experiments / A/B tests, measure business impact, and recommend scale-up actions.
Deliver compelling storylines via presentations and dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI, SQL, Python, R).
3. Business Impact & Implementation
Quantify the incremental revenue, cost savings, or risk reduction from each analytics use case.
Partner with business units to implement solutions (e.g., optimized cross-sell campaigns, card spend stimulation, improved credit line management).
Track performance post-implementation and feed learnings back into strategy.
4. Thought Leadership & Capability Building
Act as a strategic advisor to card department leadership, not just a data provider.
Stay up-to-date on best practices in cards, payments, and advanced analytics.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building the analytics culture in the bank.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields. MBA is a plus

Proven track record of delivering analytics projects that generated measurable business impact.
Technical Skills:
SQL, Python/Alteryx/SAS (for modeling & analysis), advanced Excel, PowerPoint
BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
Familiarity with credit scoring, segmentation, customer lifecycle analysis, and campaign effectiveness measurement
Experience with GenAI is a plus
Consulting & Business Skills:
Strong problem-structuring, hypothesis-driven thinking, and executive communication skills.
Ability to build business cases and present impact in financial terms.
Stakeholder management skills across senior levels
