Role Overview
We are seeking a Managing Consultant with strong technical expertise and proven project management skills to lead Environmental Impact Assessment projects. This position offers exposure across diverse industries, collaboration with global teams, and opportunities to build lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver environmental impact assessments and management plans in alignment with international standards and local regulations.
Oversee project deliverables, serving as project manager, technical lead, or quality reviewer. Activities include report writing, organizing data collection and field surveys, conducting literature reviews, and developing actionable recommendations for clients.
Prepare and review technical reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with best practices.
Lead and contribute to proposal development, including technical scopes and cost estimates.
Manage projects effectively, including planning, task delegation, subcontractor coordination, health and safety compliance, quality assurance, and client engagement.
Mentor junior and mid-level consultants, fostering technical growth and team capability.
Collaborate with ERM experts globally to deliver complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Coordinate with local authorities, lenders, and stakeholders to secure approvals for environmental and social impact assessments.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and expand ERM’s market presence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Eight to ten years of experience in environmental impact assessment processes and reporting (other experience levels considered for alternative roles).
Technical expertise in one or more areas such as air quality, noise, water quality, or marine environment.
Knowledge of Vietnam’s environmental impact assessment process; familiarity with international standards is an advantage.
Demonstrated project management experience and proficiency with relevant tools.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to manage complex, interdisciplinary projects independently.
Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
