Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Checker role for PBG Lending Business, including documentation preparation & vetting, limit & collateral maintenance, loan operation and collateral release;

• Ensure all services to be delivered within the agreed service pledge;

• Ensure adherence to departmental guidelines and compliance of the Bank's policy;

• Report all process deviations to supervisor with recommendations;

• Identify the improvement opportunities / operation risk of existing workflow;

• Participate in projects on development of new products, automation / enhancement of related systems and enhance customer experience;

• Provide coaching and training to junior staff;

• Handle ad-hoc matters and tasks assigned by supervisor from time to time.       

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business Administration or related disciplines;

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in loan documentation and operations;

• Good knowledge on Companies Ordinance and legal requirements for perfection of loan documentation;

• Good knowledge and concept in retail banking products;

• Proficient in MS Office;

• Prudent and attentive to details;

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
