Manager/Senior Manager (Expenditure)

[What the role is]

You will lead a team in the accounting, operations, and controls of the expenditure and fixed asset management functions in CAAS.

[What you will be working on]

This includes payment processing, performing data analytics for payments (e.g. duplicate claims), providing sound advice on policies and systems to users on expenditure functions. You will also support the month-end book closing and audit, as well as monthly monitoring with analytics for expenditure. You will ensure compliance with financial and accounting policies and procedures, and value-add by reviewing processes and procedures, as well as system enhancements where required, to improve efficiency and governance in managing expenditures. You will also be responsible for the accounting and management of fixed assets, to ensure timely and accurate records of capital expenditures, fixed assets and depreciation. You would be involved with digitalization and other ad-hoc projects or administrative duties.

You will also review and draft financial policies and frameworks on governance and financial compliance for CAAS.

We require an energetic, results-oriented team leader with the following pre-requisites:

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant/ tertiary qualification in accounting or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in financial accounting or Expenditure and Fixed Asset management
• Possess strong thinking and analysis skills, self-motivated and resourceful
• Strong communication and task management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Workday is advantageous

Note: Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
